GIVING BACK
Current Community Initiative - Supporting Lenny and his Family
This October, November and December, Tapps is proud to support Lenny, a local boy living with a rare genetic disorder called Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia (HED).
Throughout these three months, $2 from every item sold from our Pasta Feature Menu will be donated to help Lenny and his family with the ongoing expenses associated with his care. Lenny is a courageous young boy whose condition affects his body's ability to sweat and can also cause sparse hair and missing or developing teeth. Because his body cannot regulate temperature normally, everyday activities and changing seasons can bring additional challenges that require special care and equipment.
Lenny's ongoing needs include temperature-regulating equipment and cooling supports, dental care, speech development, respiratory and oral care, and skin and hair management. He requires support throughout the year, including equipment to help keep him comfortable and safe during both the warmer and colder months.
For Lenny and his family, these specialized needs can bring significant ongoing expenses. By choosing an item from our Pasta Feature Menu this October, November or December, you're doing more than enjoying a meal — you're helping a local family with the additional care and resources Lenny needs.
